She was born on June 25, 1906 in Greenville, Virginia to Charles Edmund Murray and Laura Gillispie Harris.  She was the youngest of 11 siblings.  She was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph Norris Simpson.  In 1955 she married John Holden Cauthen who also predeceased her.  She is survived by her daughter, Sally Odom (Phillip), Auburn, Al, and her son Bill Cauthen (Robin), Leesburg, Fl. grandchildren: Asley Odom Norman, Gretchen Odom Brown, Ginny Cauthen Thompson, Mandy Cauthen, Holly Cauthen, Great Grandchildren: Caden and Sarah Bailey Brown and Parker Norman. Hoyt L. Champlain, 104 formerly of Howlett Hill, passed away Sunday in Leesburg, Fl. Born in Howlett Hill, he lived in Syracuse until moving to Florida in the mid-'70s.  Hoyt was employed with the NYS Dept. of Transportation, retiring in 1970.  He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Leesburg and a 75-year member of the Camillus Masons.  Surviving are his wife of 75 years, the former Dorothy Hammerle; sister, Dorothy Aitchison of Camillus; and several nieces and nephews.  Service will be noon Monday at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.  Relatives and friends may call preceding the service from 11a.m. to noon, at the funeral home.  Hoyt will be laid to rest in Howlett Hill Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to Hospice of Lake Sumter, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, Fl 32778.  Buranich

CLERMONT, Fla. - Mildred (Betty) Chick, 100, a former resident of Wilson Pond Road, North Monmouth, died July 16, at Westminster Care Center in Clermont, Fla., just one day short of her 101st birthday.

She was born in Monmouth on July 17, 1909, the daughter of Austin  
W. and Lois (Magner) Carter.  She was educated in Monmouth schools, graduating from Monmouth Academy in 1928.  She attended business college at the Auburn Maine School of Commerce. On June 18, 1932, she married Benjamin Chick in North Monmouth.  Mr. Chick passed away in 1992.

Betty is survived by one duaghter, Lois Witham and her husband, Frank of Clermont, Fla.,; two sons, Norman A. Chick and his wife, Rowena, of Monmouth and James B. Chick and his wife, Donna, of Monmouth; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher L. Chick in 1985.

Edward S. Choate was born 9 Dec 1879 in Baltimore, Maryland to Charles S. Shipley and Mary George, both of Baltimore. They had a daughter and adopted a girl. He married Margaret Ann around 1909. They had five daughters. The 1910 Census shows them living in Maryland and him farming. His World War I Draft Registration Card 1917-1918 showed County: Baltimore; State: Maryland; Birth Date 9 Dec 1879; Race: White

He first bought property in 1923.  By 1924 some of the family were living at 830 S. Center St., Eustis. in 1924 the address showed M S Choate.  By 1930 he had become a real estate broker. His wife, Margaret Shipley Choate.

In 1950 he went into partnership with Mr. Atkins which was dissolved in 1956. The business was deeded by Wegner Canning Corporation on 20 Jan 1951. When he died on the 9th of December, 1979, he was married to Virginia W. Choate.  She lived at 900 S. Center St. He is buried next to Margaret W. Choate in Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis BLK 9-R04-16, 17.

Barringer in 1941.  She was listed on a deed in 2000 as Mae K. Cooper, widow of Fred F. Cooper.  Her last residence was listed as Eustis when she died September 18, 2004.



Arthur Corlew was born October 5, 1874 in Saybrook, Ashtabula Harber, Ohio to Russell and Mentoryor Mentoria (Bailey) Corlew.  His father was from Vermont and his mother, Ohio.  His birth date is listed thus on the SSDI and Florida Death Index 1877-1998 & WWI Draft. A date of 1875 appears in the 1880 Census and Ohio Marriages 1800-1958.  
He first married Ruth A Cartner (Born 1880 to A. E. Carner)  21 Jan 1896 in Ashtabula, Ohio. They were divorced.

His 2nd marriage was to Olefa Sophia Willey, (born 1868 in Perry, Ohio to Albert and Sophia A. (Wright) Meacham/Mitcham  Howard Willey), a widow, on 07 Feb 1906 in Ashtabula, Ohio.  Olefa had a son, Earl Howard, born 19 December 1891 in Ashtabula, Ohio. His father was Irving J. Howard. In 1930 they were living in Geneva, Ohio.  She died in 1936 and is buried in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Ashtabula, Ohio.

His 3rd wife,  Mary Remington Corlew, was born 1 May 1884 in Geneva, Ohio and died in Leesburg, Fl 15 Aug 1963.  Their address was  Niagara Co., NY in Sep 1959 when they purchased land in Lake Co.

He was living in Mount Dora, Fl when he died  December 8, 1976.  He is buried with his wife, Mayme,  in Tavares Cemetery F-R01-05,06.

He and Mary moved to Florida in 1974.  He was a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church in Leesburg, FL.
Bill was predeceased in death by his parents, wife, Mary Cramer; daughter, Sandra Peck; infant son and grandson, Marc Peck.
Bill is survived by his grandsons, Timothy (Joyce) Peck of Hastings and Jeffrey Peck of Bruce Crossing and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
